David Brooks loosens his necktie

Oh Davey, you rascal!

And makes a real joke! It gives me hope that when I, like Mr Brooks, finally graduate from the U of C, I might, if I try really hard, maintain something resembling a sense of humor. From a blog-conversation with Gail Collins:

I was the one running the prompter for Chief Justice Roberts: Do you, Barack Faithfully Obama, Promise to Hussein execute the office of Faithfully President of the United States, for richer and poorer, for better or worse, in sickness and in health, and to defend the Constitution, for which it stands, one nation, under faithfully, to the best of your ability, so help you God?

It went pretty smoothly I thought.
