Letter to the editor of the day

An excerpt of a letter from a resident of St. George, Utah who is frustrated with the treatment of inmates in his community:
I think our sheriff and county commissioners should consider building a tent prison as counties in Arizona, and New Mexico have done. These violators should spend time in December and August in the tent compound.

At present, going to the county jail is no punishment. They are fed two good meals, sleep in the winter in heated cells, and in the summer in an air-conditioned cell with nice beds. They are treated in the lap of kindness. (emphases mine)
Note to self: Don't steal slushies from the gas stations in Utah. Holy smokes. And now Sarah Palin knows where to get her first pledge for the 2012 Nevada caucus.
